IU @ Rutgers

The Hoosier would improve to 2-0 for the first time since 1991 with a Rutgers lost to IU at home by a decisive 37-21 margin. The Scarlet Knights hadn't found any success against IU since Oct. 17 of 2015, this defeat making it five in a row.

Michael Penix Jr. was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 238 yards on 26 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. The squad can also thank their defense for forcing the opposing offense to cough up 5 turnovers.

IU v Penn State

For the first time since 1987, Indiana has defeated a top-10 opponent. The Hoosiers took down No. 8 Penn State in overtime, 36-35.

The Hoosiers wouldn't go down without a fight. And fight they did.  With 22 seconds remaining Michael Penix Jr. engineered a 75-yard touchdown drive, capped off by a two-point conversion to send the game to overtime at 28-28.

In overtime Indiana went to the run and Scott got a first down to start the drive. Then after a couple plays went nowhere, Penix hit Whop Philyor for a nine yard touchdown, making it 35-34.

Tom Allen decided to go for two. Michael Penix Jr. ran it to the left corner, outstretches and  hit the pylon. Called a touchdown, after a long review, the play stands, and Indiana wins, 36-35.
