IU v Michigan

The Hoosiers weren't the same after Payton Ramsey appeared to take a hard shot to the midsection. He stayed down on the field for several minutes before walking off, returned on the next series and led the Hoosiers to their second score but never got Indiana close again. The Hoosiers have lost two straight since clinching their first winning season in 12 years.

After Stevie Scott opened the game with his 1-yard scoring run, Shea Patterson hooked up with Ronnie Bell for a 6-yard TD pass to tie the score. Donovan Peoples-Jones tied it at 14 with a spectacular, spinning 11-yard TD catch.

Patterson gave Michigan its first lead with a perfect 24-yard scoring strike to Nico Collins with 5:33 left in the first half, Quinn Nordin's 24-yard field goal made it 24-14 and the Wolverines sealed the victory with a 76-yard TD pass from Patterson to Collins and Dylan McCaffrey's conversion run midway through the third.

Collins tacked on the final score on a 19-yard catch with 1:39 left in the third to make it 39-14. He had six receptions for a career high 165 yards.

Ramsey was 17 of 29 with 217 yards and one interception while Scott ran 13 times for 54 yards.

This wasn't just another loss to Michigan. It was humbling and costly. In addition to Ramsey's injury, left tackle Matthew Bedford and Scott were injured on the same play with 40 seconds left in the third quarter. Bedford was carted off the field while Scott limped off.

IU @ Penn State

Both teams lost their star receivers in the first half. KJ Hamler for STATE left in the first quarter after he returned a kickoff but didn't appear shaken up as he walked off.

Indiana's Whop Philyor had to be helped to the locker room after he was sandwiched between Penn State defenders, taking helmet-to-helmet contact from both and fumbling away the ball in the process.

Peyton Ramsey completed 31 of 41 passes for 371 yards and a touchdown and ran for two more for the Hoosiers (7-3, 4-3) who outgained Penn State 462 to 371.

The Hoosiers kept Penn State's offense off-balance most of the way. They also got stops on defense until they needed one most late in the fourth quarter. Final score 27-34 Lions.
