Workers today began the process of replacing the playing surface at Memorial Stadium.
The athletic department and University are currently in negotiations to replace the existing turf with a state-of-the art playing surface that will be installed and ready for use by the first week of August.The Independence Bowl's Hall
Ironic as it is work began on the first anniversary of coach Hoeppner's passing and the day he was honored by the Independence Bowl's Hall of Honor.
