The 86th Bucket Game will be played one year from today. It will be played in West Lafayette two days after Thanksgiving and the day before the first Sunday in Advent. To quote coach Lee Corso "What have you done today...to beat Purdue?"
The 85th battle of the Old Oaken Bucket was played in Bloomington in front of 48,607 loyal fans. Temperature at kickoff was 55 degrees. Indiana out gained Purdue 462 yards to 330, but the Hoosiers lost the turnover battle 4-0. The result was a 38-21 Boiler victory and retention of the bucket.
Linebacker Navorro Bowman had a 73-yard interception return for a touchdown and Evan Royster scored twice as Penn State overcame four first-half turnovers to beat Indiana 31-20.
